Those wings of the bird in my head,
they change the way I percieve things
Things that ought to be and those that intrigue me.

She flies down swooping below
Skimming over calm waters, dipping legs in tranquility
She rises high up on the ledge to sing her heart's sorrows.
The winds inside my mind, they pick up notes from her pain,
They carry them so far away, to the eyes of distant rains
the dark clouds to swell in the night sky
Forms a blanket of moist apprehension.
And then it rains........ oh i feel the rain drops on my face

I look up to the sky, my tears blend with the streaks,
that form lines of age through my eyes...
I stare up through the darkness, and in the flash of light
I see her perched on her ledge, singing to the clouds, denied.

I plead for mercy, please stop, dont cry anymore I'm drowning
She cant hear me, in the thunder, she sings as her heart is pouring
I'm now submerged, the torent sweeps me, carries me, i'm tumbling
The taste of salty tears they fill my lungs,in these waters I'm loosing.

I wake up washed on a sea shore, the sun burns the skin on my back
Its pleasant cause i know I'm still alive...
I lift my head up to see her sitting in front of me smiling......
